Weyerhaeuser Today: Earthquake Shakes up Weyerhaeuser
Project Description
The Northridge earthquake in Los Angeles was one of the costliest disasters in U.S. history — claiming 57 lives and causing up to $40 billion in damage. It could have shut down Weyerhaeuser’s profitable mortgage loan business — had not an incredible IT team moved the entire operation into a nearby hotel, while dedicated employees kept the wheels turning. I traveled with a photographer to L.A. Our coverage highlighted both Weyerhaeuser’s esprit de corps and its profound commitment to its employees.
